What is a Wilderness Trail?

Wilderness Trails are learning and leadership experiences in nature. On a Trail, we take time outdoors to reflect, feel, notice, and share.

We are inspired by beautiful surroundings, witnessing nature’s magnificence: the seasonal cycle of growth and decay, the interaction and collaboration between all species. We reconnect to self and each other to remember who we are and where we need to go. By allowing our brain to slow down and removing all (digital) distractions, we become relaxed and focused and will naturally tap into our intuition, creativity and deep knowing.

Expect to be immersed in mesmerizing scenery, carrying a daypack with lunch, water and extra clothing. We will sleep in a hotel, hut, cabin, or tent. We will go hiking, conduct team & coaching exercises, share stories around the campfire, and have ample time for personal reflection. We will teach light outdoor skills to allow you to safely experience a ‘solo’ – time spent outdoors in solitude. We will travel and work as a team, learning together on our life journeys. We will practice a rich set of leadership skills as an integral part of the developmental experience. We recommend that you let go of your cell phone for a while and leave your camera at home. This helps you to land into nature’s rhythm, be fully present and get the most out of the experience.
