You love training and coaching other people on their (leadership) development. Learn from us how to do this outdoors!
People are deeply connected to Nature, the sense of yearning for the wild is strongly growing, also in teams and groups. This asks for more trained facilitators who can safely and effectively coach teams in the great outdoors. We aim to set a new standard in Nature facilitation, merging the best of WGA-certified EWES wilderness guide training with team coaching shifts taught by leading global practitioners.
The Wilderness Facilitation Learning Program is designed for:
To broaden the skillset and embody the experience, the program is offered in 2 different ecoregions (e.g., Boreal and Desert) and at 2 different times of the year (e.g., spring and fall) and a series of virtual sessions where participants will deepen their understanding of the importance of Nature through the lens of applied science, and practical business applications. This too elevates their familiarity of how to apply Nature with potential (corporate) clients.
FDP
The online sessions will help us connect and stay connected as a participant group, bringing background knowledge on why being in nature is so important –useful information and data points you can bring to your clients. You will also get personal practices for connecting to nature –even when not in nature!
During our weeks in the field, we will build on our outdoor facilitation skills in all its dimensions, from creating and maintaining the right energy, engaging with your clients, designing and executing learning experiences, to allowing insights and lessons to emerge from them. Also, we will start covering the practical elements of designing and organizing a trail, such as example design flows, venue & guide selection, risk assessment & management, nutrition and equipment.
